Valentina Vella is an interdisciplinary artist, performer, art organizer and poet born in Rome, Italy. She holds an MA in English literature from Roma Tre University and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago.
Her work explores the boundaries between documentary, myth and fiction. In 2014 she made A Ride West, an experimental film based on an epic journey on horseback through the American landscape. She is currently working on the artist’s book Haunted Offices and on the sound album Songs from Nowhere: Ditties for a Posthumanist Utopia. She lives in Utrecht, Netherlands.
